ABOUT US
Hi, my name is James
Loughran. I
was born in Sydney but now live in beautiful
Palmwoods on the
Sunshine Coast in
Queensland.
I live with my wonderful wife Sue, our son Thomas and my wife's parents.
I have been riding motorbikes since I was 18
years old. About five years ago, I had
the idea of
establishing this business and providing an opportunity for the disabled
and the
chair-bound to
share the experience and thrill of riding on a Motorcycle.
I have a dear friend, Rita who has Multiple Sclerosis and has been in an
electric wheelchair
for many years now. Rita has been a large part of my inspiration for
starting the business.
So, with
help and encouragement of my wife, I finally got the ball rolling in late
2007. Having already
purchased the motorbike - a Suzuki Intruder 1500VL - I had the Sidecar
custom built in Bathurst,
New South Wales by
SRK Engineering, a business specialising
in custom built sidecars.

Through innovative design, careful attention
to detail and access to experienced professionals,
I have achieved all three:
▪ The completed motorcycle sidecar system has been thoroughly tested in
all conditions and
situations resulting in full accreditation and registration
through Queensland Transport.
▪ The sidecar has performed to all expectations of safety, comfort
and enjoyment.
▪ Insurance conditions and requirements
have been
met and full business and liability insurance
is in place.
My wife and father-in-law (who turned 75 in
2008 and has been disabled for some years now) doubled as "crash test
dummies" and now regularly enjoy this unique, shared experience...as
does my son, Thomas who enjoys spins around the backyard with his Grandpa!
While we specialise in
providing this unique opportunity for the chair-bound,
mobility-challenged
and disabled, we take anyone who is young at heart and enjoys
having a great time
